Getting Around in Goettingen
Goettingen is a small and safe town in the middle of Germany where most destinations can be easily reached by foot or public bus. (See below for more on using the Goettingen public bus system.) From the Goettingen train station, all hotels are easily accessible either by foot or taxi (maximum taxi fare < €15). Please check out Google Maps for a detailed city map and directions.

Goettingen Public Bus System
- To get to the conference venue from the main train station, one can take bus 21 (Nikolausberg direction) and 23 (Faßberg direction) till “Tammanstraße”. The trip will take approximately 15 minutes.
- To get to the conference venue from the city center (bus stop “Jüdenstraße” or “Weender Straße-Ost”), one can take bus 22 (Nikolausberg direction) till “Tammanstraße”.
- To get to the city center from the conference venue, one can take bus 22 which will bring you directly to the city center (bus stop “Weender Straße-West” or “Markt”). Alternatively, one can take bus 21 or 23 and get off at bus stop “Platz der Göttinger Sieben”. From bus stop “Platz der Göttinger Sieben”, it is approximately a 5-minute walk to the city center.
- To get to the main train station (bus stop “Hauptbahnhof”) from the conference venue, take bus 21 or 23.
